Sunday Jump is a grassroots community arts organization based in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles founded in 2012. Their mission is to serve as a safe space for marginalized voices to share stories and create genuine connections through the arts. They host monthly open mics from March through November, every first Sunday of the month (5-7pm PST) at the Pilipino Workers Center.

Sunday Jump is truly a space for and by community artists. As a millenial, finding creative outlets and building art spaces that amplified Filipino-American voices is much like finding gems in a hard rock; you have to dig deep. This 3 & 1/2 years journeying to build this vision will forever hold a special place in my heart.

After three years, this was my final season helping organize with the Sunday Jump team before focusing my efforts in the Inland Empire. The team and community expanded building retention for future seasons. Check out Sunday Jump's YouTube or Twitch channel for future streams.

First season of cohosting alongside co-founder Eddy Gana, Jr. While we were blindsided by the COVID-19 pandemic, our team gracefully took precautions and stayed committed by pivoting to the virtual space. We closed off the season with an intimate open mic featuring our team of artists.
Where my journey of collective arts' organizing began. This season was comprised of 9 open mics, several workshops, and 3 collaborative events between Tuesday Night Cafe, Fullerton Museum, Palms Up Academy. It was a road of beginnings: first feature & first time calliberating for a poetry slam.
